Formerly, Phillip was as Associate Director for National Security and International Affairs in the White Office of Science and Technology Policy.
He also served as Assistant Secretary of Defense for Test and Evaluation in the Pentagon during the Clinton years.
We discuss the Iran Deal in depth, it’s pros and cons, and what the alternatives would be. I’m also joined by callers who give their opinions on the deal.

My first guest is Julian Zelizer, a political historian at Princeton University and a New America Foundation fellow. He has published over five hundred op-eds, including his weekly column on CNN.Com. He has received fellowships from the Brookings Institution, the Guggenheim Foundation, and the Russell Sage Foundation. His most recent book is “The Fierce Urgency of Now: Lyndon Johnson, Congress and the Battle for the Great Society.”
My second guest is Dylan Stableford, a senior editor for Yahoo News, covering breaking news, social media, and national affairs. Previously he served as senior editor at The Wrap, digital editor at Folio magazine, managing editor at Mediabistro.com, and a producer at MTV.com. He has contributed to numerous publications including Deadspin, Rolling Stone, Tennis, Spin, Fader, and Bust magazines.
