Guess who’s mad at the Republican Party?
No…not just Mark. Also his guest Michael Lane, President of IntElephant Strategies, a consultant working to elect Republicans to political office.
Of course, Mark and Mike are probably upset at Republicans for different reasons….

    Torture just doesn’t produce efficient, reliable results–and it is, oh so, messy
    Tricking captives is a worthy plan–but that requires savvy on the part of the interrogators–not something the Bush people are comfortable with

    I understand the argument concerning the Geneva Convention and that would be invoked should our soldiers ever be held captive by another recognized force. BUT, let’s say that an enemy force decided to capture a civilian associate who is supplying our forces or a journalist or other NON military U.S. Citizens? Could they then treat them less than the standards of the Geneva Convention and claim the same argument? This is why we must be most careful in how we act.
