Be sure to read Kevin Phillip’s American Theocracy. He describes in great detail how the US is following the path of previous failing empires. Right when the English, Dutch, etc empires started to spiral down they suddenly became god’s chosen ones and armagedon/rapture was right around the corner. So here we go again. Phillips also describes how religion severly lost support after the previously forcasted raptures never occured.
