Our Right to "Whine" About the Economy

July 15, 2008

Audio Only

Typical Republican — and McCain’s top economic advisor — former Senator Phil Gramm considers America a “nation of whiners”, because we complain about our declining economic power, our wealth disparities, our loss of competitiveness, and the fact that we are increasingly owned by Saudi Arabia and China (due to the massive debt caused by the Republican giveaways to the rich and the bottomless pit that is the Iraq Occupation).
Sounds to me a lot like Marie Antoinette before the Revolution. Except she was far prettier than Gramm and much kinder. She heard the complaints of the starving masses and would have at least let us all “eat cake.”

Don’t forget the red wine that still drips from our veins covering our country in the dubious group karma of needless war that drains our economy on so many levels
Chew on your revenge for 9-eleven–ch’you got it, America

    Skip,
All three are honorable whining metionables.
    But, #3 deserves special mention.
    “Economic black hole” !
I thought it might be worse than that or are you placing it in a brighter light to cheer the reality up?
Looks like we have a new “Whiner”. McCain whines about media bias, fawning over Obama.
It is disgusting to watch an old war horse like McCain, whine at something as that.
Whining with a Snivel and a tissue wipe of the nose.
You think at the rate of McCain’s campaign is spiral-spinning toward that ecomonic black hole (you mentioned), that the GOP may remove McCain of his nomination at the convention?
I understand there is plenty of elitist whining going on over at FOX News. FOX, the network you can counton to Whine 24 hrs 7 days a week. The most trust name in sniveling.

    Robt,
I remembered a few more “whining points”.
    1) Whining about the Supreme Court’s marginal support of habeas corpus (and the constitution)
    2) Whining about gays while getting caught in airport bathrooms soliciting. Lets don’t forget the whining anti-gay fundamentalist preacher who gets caught with his beau.
    3) Whining about the big government liberals while they spend us into an economic black hole.
    to be continued…
