I also investigate how Republicans slowly gained more power and influence, despite openly violating rules and accepted norms. Dating back to the 90’s with the advent of political talk radio and cable news, through the farcical 2000 election results, district gerrymandering, and ultimately the 2016 election, Republicans now have firm control over a country they didn’t really earn the leadership of in the first place.
