    With a sense of economic reason humor….
    -“If lowering taxes results in increased revenues then would lowering taxes to zero result in infinite revenues?”

    – If raising taxes gives the government more money for social programs to improve the lives of the poor, why not increase the tax rate ?
    VS

    -If raising taxes gives the government more money for social programs to improve the lives of the poor, why not increase the tax rate to 100%.
    – If raising the national debt gives the government more money for victory against the terrorists, why not increase the tax debt to $100 trillion?
