    A Different Dream
    When you redefine
    the American dream
and realize it is quite insane,
    where do you arrive
    as a planetary citizen,
    can oil and water
    mix
    into a healing elixir
    to flow over atonement’s altar,
    and create a sacred place
    where enemies can meet
    to become holy partners
    in a new endeavor,
    a different cultural encounter
    besides war and its rumor,
a love-filled space we might call peace,
    one can only hope
    within a heartfelt prayer.

For what has been a turn around from the countries prior Administrations direction. I give Obama high marks.
Lilly Ledbetter law was a marquis Of that new direction. His initial relations with foreign leaders was heartening.
Releasing torture memos and very careful language by Obama should feed the fervor for prosecutions but are Americans bothered enough?
As far as the Banking resurection. So far, I am not so confident. It is not over yet so I must give a incomplete. with an E for effort.
It is so good to have a President that can speak inteligently. So good. That makes me feel so much better that it is possible to get out of the mess we have been dragged into.
I think most of us think we realize the depth of damage Obama was facing before the economy snapped.
I give Obama a B on everything so far but the economy. Just have to wait.
I do think Obama could be more front and center with certain bills in congress. Like the recent Cramdown bankruptcy bill that ended up failing.

I don’t know if I would give him a 90%. He brought in a lot of Wall Street insiders to clean up the mess they created. He may not have had a choice, but at least he is aware of the fundamental problem, at least I think he is. That problem is a Ponzi scheme that makes Madoff’s pale in comparison. It’s the fractional reserve banking system.
He seems to be walking on egg shells when it comes to torture and the crimes of the Cheney/Bush administration. There is something out there that is keeping him from dragging Rove Inc into nothing more than sworn testimony in congress, much less a trail.
    I’ll give him a 75% rating.

Obama’s first 100 days I would rate in the high 90’s, no ones is 100% ever.
At least we have a man with communication skills, an intelligence that is above normal and the ability to listen to all sides. That is what I like and admire in the man, he is also realistic and so far he has proven to be an asset to the US instead of an destroyer of our values, morality and our name around the world.

    Mark,
Not long ago our votes being counted correctly was a huge deal. Haven’t heard much on the issue.
During the election, here in Omaha, Nebraska we provided then candidate Obama with one of the states meager electoral votes.
The conservative republicans were outraged. They continue to make change to make the state a “winner take all” electoral in the election. Republicans believe this will ensure all the state’s electorals in the future will go republican in the future. For the rest of the states real Nebraskans will out vote (over-ride)this districts leftist leanings.
With that said as an example,
So I would ask what is your analysis on this Texas case to be heard by the U.S. Supreme Court.
