This reminds me of the conflict between Russia and Georgia. At the time Mark made a snap judgment and said that Russia started it. I argued that it was Georgia that started it. I was ridiculed and Mark had clearly already decided what he was going to choose to believe.

Now the BBC reports, “A former Georgian ambassador has caused uproar in Georgia by saying his country, not Russia, started August’s war over South Ossetia.”

We also now learn that the Georgian president is now admitting to starting it too:
Testifying before a parliamentary commission investigating the five-day war between Georgia and Russia Mikhail Saakashvili said, “We did start military action to take control of Tskhinvali and other unruly areas.” He also said, “The issue is not about why Georgia started military action – we admit we started it.”

And I came across the following…

Sen. Obama’s advisers on foreign policy are a diverse group, but they share an antipathy to Israel and its supporters in the U.S.

The most senior of those advisers is Zbigniew Brzezinski, 79, who was the national security adviser to President Jimmy Carter. Mr. Brzezinski has backed the controversial claim by Professors Stephen Walt and John Mearshimer that the “Israeli lobby” secretly directs U.S. foreign policy.

Is this some insight into Mark’s concerns? Mark, are you worried about the future direction of US foreign policy? Is the nut-o-crazy president of Georgia making things worse for Israel? Do you worry about Brzezinski’s policies once Obama gets in?

Maybe we agree on more than we appear to? I don’t like Brzezinski’s policies one bit. It makes me wonder if Israel is about to loose control of US foreign policy for the first time in who knows how long. You once said to me that DC is totally zionist. If you meant that DC is 100% directed by zionest foreign policy etc, then maybe this would be a threat to that power base?

I do know that Clinton fought tooth and nail to get into the white house. I know she enjoyed strong support from Israel. I also think Obama didn’t pick her for VP because he didn’t want to come to an untimely end. I heard he got the OK from Israel to not pick Clinton when he told them it would be Biden. (Biden is crazy-super-TNT-ZIONIST)

As power consolidates; long time allies turn on one another. I wonder….
