    Streaming Atonement
    Are we benefactors
    and/or victims
    of our illusions,
what does world economic depression mean,
    but just wild reorganization
    for a top-heavy society,
a cure for the common human dense dimension,
a search for a new power source,
for a new conscience of decency,
    a streaming consciousness
screaming to repeal savage smiling ghosts,
beckoning suicide in the name of survival,
    a new beginning meaning anything,
    as it is now,
    as it has always been,
    so it is,
    an image of creation,
    a purposeful destruction of sin,
leading to a world of peace,
    so be it,
    an enveloping holiness.

The dynamic about Obama is: he’s gonna get better and better

    Raving Oxymoron
    Metaphysical quid pro quo
    between continuing war
    and economic malaise,
consensus floating along the river of denial
    with just a vacant smile,
as empirical experts struggle with semantics,
dare they embrace the lingering depression
    amid slithering reptilian impressions
    of crackling conservative crocasnappers
    and snarling liberal alligarters,
that political science is a raving oxymoron
    devouring the nation
    in imperial fashion.

Denial is so coquetish–when will the economic situation actually be labelled the world depression it really is? Did the people in the Great Depression say they were in a depression? (Or did they wait until they were out of it–to realize they were in one?)
