• With the Republican insistance that politicians be bought by secret donors,
• And with Sheldon Adelson contributing $100 million to Republicans — one man donating 30 times what Obama could garner in 6 fundraisers,

it’s time to concede that our democracy is bought and sold.
 
With all due deference to Jonathan Swift,
it’s time to surrender.
If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em.
