Bush as Don Corleone

May 21, 2007

VIDEO of show / Audio Archive
The President’s attempt to trick his drugged-up attorney general into breaking the law goes awry.
Today, Mark exposes Thursday’s shocking testimony of James Comey, the Deputy Attorney General of the United States (No. 2 under Ashcroft) who explained to the Senate Judiciary Committee in 2004 how Bush sent Alberto Gonzales to trick the severely ill Ashcroft into signing a blatantly illegal order to spy on millions of Americans and how Ashcroft, weak from his surgery, still strongly refused. Comey’s testimony has been WIPED from C-SPAN but is preserved here unedited with Mark’s powerful commentary. Reality is more powerful than fiction.
When Ashcroft said no, the Bush Administration went ahead in knowing and flagrant violation of the law to reauthorize a program that every single lawyer on staff knew was violently unconstitutional. The USA was then set on a path toward Soviet East-German style Government warrantless spying on all its citizens.
Only after the threatened simultaneous resignation of the top three Justice Department officials — Ashcroft, Comey, and Solicitor General Ted Olson, along with their chiefs of staff and the Director of the FBI (!) months before the 2004 election did Bush finally relent and agree to respect the US Constitution.

The other day I heard that once Monica G. was given immunity from prosecution for her testimony (a.k.a. no more taking the 5th) that the Gonzalez DOJ started an “investigation” into her. Translation: If you squeal on God’s personal messenger you will get your political knee caps blown away.

Is the media putting to much emphasis on Monica Goodling?
Better yet, Could Monica as a good Christian obscure the truth to protect what she may believe is what God would like her to do? Which in her mind might be placing her God at odds over country , duty, position of the peoples trust?
To protect a conservative movement she feels is somehow ordained to rule because her God is above the constitution and law. So therefore she feels justified in lying in this instance? Lying to the heathen Democrats is OK in Jesus’ eyes?.
Will her faith compel her to the TRUTH vs Bushie loyalty?
Can Pat Robertson intervene in her behalf?
We shall see how a Robertson graduate handles this situation. If she allows herself to be used in a ruse to defend perpetrators. In which she might be led to believe are saintly and must be shielded. Or eyes wide open she perpetrated in the firings of the US Attys because its Gods work?
She could have been the front dummy for scape goating. There again, she was on a mission from God. ( I mean Pat Robertson’s God).
