Mark scoops again with Moon's "Senate" coronation!

June 23, 2004

Today, on the front page of the Washington Post, the newspaper finally printed the story discussed on THE INSIDE SCOOP last week (June 16, 2004) regarding the “coronation” of Rev. Sun Myung Moon as “Messiah” in the Dirksen Senate Office Building.

Once again, Mark Levine has scooped the Washington Post — this time by a full week. The Washington Post cited salon.com, but we scooped salon by several days as well. Perhaps we should encourage reporters at the Post to check out www.marklevinetv.com a bit more often…

For some reason the mainstream media were reluctant to discuss this strange event until bloggers got hold of it and passed it around with a mixture of bafflement and anger. This event often seems too weird to be taken seriously, but believe me, Reverend Moon and his followers take it very seriously. Although they are trying to make it sound like nothing more than a slightly over-the-top way of honoring Moon, privately, they believe the “coronation” represents the consent of the American people, on a spiritual level, to accept Moon as their King. I’m a former follower of Moon and am very familiar with his deceptive tactics. If you want to read about what it’s like to be a “Moonie” for more than a decade, please read my book, Heartbreak and Rage: Ten Years Under Sun Myung Moon, which is avaiable through Amazon.com. A sample of the book may be read on my website, http://www.moonbook.com/index2.html
