Sarah Palin's Tea Party

February 17, 2010

Special 2-hour Raucous Caucus!
It’s easy to mock Sarah Palin’s folksy ignorance and simplistic soundbites. But while she has no particular agenda (apart from the Bush/Cheney agenda of more pollution, more oil-company subsidies, more tax handouts for billionaires, and more military spending — somehow combined magically with decreasing the budget deficit by spending cuts she refuses to specify), that does not mean she is free from danger to America.
Maybe she can’t speak without writing crib notes on her hand. But, simple or not, the faux-populism of an anti-intellectual demagogue attempting to lead a movement fused with anarchic anger cannot be, and should not be, underestimated.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.

Come on down to Ben’s Chili Bowl, Robert, when you visit DC. I would be honored to have our first Nebraskan at the Raucous Caucus.

Okay, okay, Did you really have to go there? I mean, using the Nebraska word?
So, Does that ride come with a bowl of Ben’s Chili?
for I have been planning a vacation week or two to visit our Nations capital. You know, the whole tourist thing.
Pester my republican congressmen in their DC offices. Try lobbying rhem on something. With Hawaian shirt and camera around my neck.
See the Smithsonian and other historical sites. Always enjoyed history. Can you get me in to the White House?
I do enjoy your Adventures in the Raucus Caucus. I see your favorite republican (Mike Lane)hasn’t fillabustered your show. Hasn’t Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell ordered Mike Lane to boycot your show or else?
Tell you the truth, Omaha could really useits own Raucus Caucus at Ben’s.
    A little material for you;
Note, His SCheif staffer is becoming a lobbyist not leaving to spend more time with his family. But is Mitch loosing the love of his life?

Tell you what, Robert. Travel to the District of Columbia and I promise you a ride from anywhere in the entire District of Columbia to Ben’s Chili Bowl. How’s that? I’m sure you’d do the same for me if I were in Nebraska… 🙂

I think Tea paty folks are a mix bag that will find in time that they can’t stand one another.
Republicans are vigorously radicalizing them and trying desperately to recruit them. Some of them the are trying to recruit back because they left the party.
Palin is getting much needed exposure and tutoring from FOX for her image. If she can’t get the puppett nomination she is a tool to recruit Tea Party voters. The GOP can only gain. But how much? I think there are some of those religious fundamentalists that couldn;t stand McCain but held their nose because of Palin.
palin won;t be able to shake her VP campaigning tactics and it will bite her like Huckabee got bit back with his releasing killers from prison and this before he condemned the Dems judgement.
I have to think Romney is the GOP nominee. He has the money and is nearest acceptable of the GOP lot nation wide.
mark, I like to stop by for a bowl of chili and listen live to your Rauckus Caucus. Perhaps debate a little. But I could use a ride. You think Terry, Garland or yourself can swing by Omaha and pick me up?
